Mr.
Hendricks, President of Hendricks & Associates, has an extensive background
in management consulting with private and public sector organizations.
He has directed and performed hundreds of management consulting engagements
in the areas of strategy, organizational analysis, productivity improvement
and cost reduction, human resource management and compensation.
Prior
to establishing his own firm in 1990, Mr. Hendricks held increasingly
responsible positions with several leading firms; he was a Vice President
of Towers Perrin, a Principal/Shareholder of Cresap, McCormick & Paget,
a principal of Fry Consultants, Assistant to the President of ARA Services,
Inc., and a consultant with Price Waterhouse. A Distinguished Military
Graduate (U.S. Army ROTC), Mr. Hendricks holds a B. A. degree from Rutgers
University and an M.B.A. degree from the Wharton Graduate School of the
University of Pennsylvania. He has been designated a CMC by the Institute
of Management Consultants.
In
addition to his Hendricks & Associates, Inc. experience, he has led
consulting engagements for ARA Services, Inc., Oxford Realty Services
Corporation, the American College of Emergency Physicians, the Inter-American
Development Bank, Brown & Williamson, Inc., the Arab Maritime Transport
Academy, the American Automobile Association, the Eximbank of the United
States, BATUS, Inc., Bell South, CBS, Inc., Blue Bell, Inc., First Huntington
National Bank, National Canners Association, the Army Mutual Aid Association,
the Glass Packaging Institute, the President's Advisory Commission on
Federal Pay, the (former) U.S. Civil Service Commission, the (former)
Atomic Energy Commission, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the
International Council on Smoking and Health Issues, and the New Jersey
Casino Control Commission.
Mr.
Hendricks has also directed assignments for the Department of the Navy,
the Commission on Civil Rights, the U.S. Department of Transportation,
the Maryland State Police, the West Virginia State Police, the Washington
Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, the U.S. Department of Housing and
Urban Development, the General Services Administration, Richland Memorial
Hospital and the Alexandria Hospital, the school systems in Falls Church
and Virginia Beach, Virginia; Jefferson County, Kentucky; Montgomery County,
Maryland; and Fairbanks North Star Borough, Alaska,
the University of California System, Wright State University and
Gallaudet University.
He
has also served several cities and counties across the nation including
Anchorage, Alaska; Dade County, Florida; Dallas, Texas; Los Angeles, California;
Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Nashville, Tennessee, Philadelphia and Scranton,
Pennsylvania; Orlando, Florida; Portland, Maine; St. Petersburg, Florida,
and Williamsburg and Virginia Beach, Virginia; as well as, the States
of Connecticut, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, and Virginia.
Before
authoring The Rightsizing Remedy, he had written several articles published
by the Society for Human Resource Management and a chapter on international
human resource strategy for the McGraw-Hill
Handbook on Business Problem Solving. In addition, he has spoken extensively
on human resources and other general management topics.
